Provincial

PROVINCIAL
Renovation, Inverloch
Winner - 2012 HIA SE Victoria Kitchen of the Year

This modern provincial style kitchen is located in the seaside town of Inverloch. The functional layout is designed around existing antique stained glass, architecturally interesting windows and blends with the decorative style of the adjoining lounge and dining areas.
The kitchen eloquently displays a varied range of provincial and modern finishes, including 2 Pac painted doors with hand painted glazed accents, arched kick rails, and a large cottage sink. The innovative design of the angled mantle with crown mouldings addresses the unique challenge of maximizing limited wall space, creating a focal point within the kitchen. Modern features include stainless steel and integrated appliances and soft close drawer runners. Colour contrasting stone benchtops in the island and backsplash add character and provide ample work space. Substantial accessible storage in cabinets and drawers contribute to efficient functionality, finished with open shelving to prominently display provincial earthenware and collectibles.
This overall design transcends the provincial style with the streamlined functionality of modern living. The final result  incorporates purposeful and spacious design with whimsical charm and a fanciful level of detail, combining textures and finishes which compliment the adjoining areas of the home.
